Red Barn at Jagged Rock Transfiction Rosé 2020
Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe packaging stands out, and the wine in the bottle is even more enticing. You can see (and taste) some Provençal influence from the colour to the style, but the winemaking speaks to the overall direction and philosophy of Red Barn. A blend of cabernet franc, syrah, and sangiovese, whole cluster pressed and concrete aged, this is bright and citrusy, with grapefruit, strawberry, and perfumed orchard blossoms. It's delicate without lacking in fruit intensity, and just as much about the texture as the fruit. Nicely balanced, with a crisp finish that shows excellent length.
