Meyer Family Vineyards Pinot Noir - B Field Blend McLean Creek Road Vineyard 2020
Okanagan Falls, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaB Field Blend is a new release from Meyer, with fruit primarily off the 2017 B Block of their estate McLean Creek Road Vineyard's sloping gravels and sandy loams, planted to Dijon clones 115, 667, 777. The fruit was picked and cofermented together. Destemmed fruit was macerated and native fermented over two weeks before heading to French barrels for 11 months' rest. It was bottled without fining or filtration. Wild plum, wild blackberry, morello cherry carries an easy lofted acidity across the smooth, silken, darker shaded palate, framed with lightly spiced tannins, and finishing with a generous dusting of baking spice.
