Seven Stars Sirius 2015

Fraser Valley, British Columbia, CanadaWinemaker Mary McDermott is the force behind the new sparkling wine program at Township Seven. Yet, new is hardly a good description for the 2015 Seven Stars Sirius sparkler that has been ageing quietly for 60 months at the Langley-based winery. I have been tasting this wine for the last three years prior to its release, and it has not disappointed me. Sirius is a traditional serious sparkling wine made with pinot noir and chardonnay grown at the Township 7 Langley vineyard. I like the apple brioche notes, dusted in citrus, followed by a creamy, mineral, red berry character that runs through the finish. Lean, stylish, and will keep for years in the bottle. A top-flight BC bubble you should try before it is all gone.Tasted: 17 October 2021Tasted by: Prices:
