Lock and Worth Sémillon Kelowna 2019

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaOne of two sémillons produced by Lock & Worth from 2019 (the other from Okanagan Falls) comes off a lauded sémillon vineyard on Mount Boucherie in West Bank, planted in 1993. Whole cluster pressed and native fermented, it was raised in neutral French puncheons for 18 months on full solids, mostly undisturbed. It was bottled unfined and unfiltered, hence the slight cloudiness. Very green-led, with hedgerow, green apple, white lemon, fresh green herbs, and delicate white blossoms on the slight (10.4%) palate, bedded with a thick cloud of downy lees, and finishing with a stony shimmer and dusting of white pepper. Very much in youth, and while fun to drink now, this is best enjoyed in the years ahead - open this in advance and let it relax a bit in the glass.Tasted: 11 October 2021Tasted by: Prices:
