Blue Mountain Estate Cuvée Pinot Noir 2019

Okanagan Falls, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Estate Cuvée draws from 13-year-old vines and a range of four clones planted at the highest elevation of Blue Mountain's Okanagan Falls estate. Stylistically, this is exactly what we've come to expect from Blue Mountain's pinot program over the last several years: sappy, perfumed dark fruits that are layered with spice and shrubby herbs. They continue to go from strength to strength, thanks to serious viticulture and serious winemaking, and the 2019 vintage of the Estate Cuvée is the best yet. There's more concentration here, but what really stands out is how seamless it is, with fine, elegant tannins that are beautifully balanced. It manages to be an earlier-drinking style that still offers no shortage of depth and complexity. Highly recommended.Tasted: 22 October 2021Tasted by: Prices:
