Blue Mountain Estate Cuvée Pinot Noir 2019

Okanagan Falls, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe introductory or Estate Pinot Noir comes off the property’s youngest vines, now about 13 years old. It is a mix of clones 114, 115, 667, 777 that is fully destemmed and native fermented in a mix of stainless steel tanks and open-top wood fermenters. The wine is then in French oak for roughly six months. The style is round and the tannins are light but sticky. The flavours are more on the dry, earthy side with umami-like flavours mixing with black raspberry and black plum with a just hint of toast. It is a pinot for wine enthusiasts searching for some mystery and complexity in their pinot. Drink or hold another three to five years.Tasted: 17 September 2021Tasted by: Prices:
