Sicily, ItalyThis Lucido is from Mazara del Vallo, in the Northwestern part of Sicily, rooted in clay/limestone soils around 200-250m. After starting ferment in stainless, this transferred to large wooden barrels where it continues ferment and 8-10 months' lees aging. Pouring a glowing yellow / gold hue, this coats the dry, medium bodied, lightly waxen palate with tropical melon, honeysuckle, pineapple rind, mandarin, framed by neutral oak's ghosted generosity, and finishing with a wave of marine salinity.
