Michel Prunier et Fille Bourgogne Chardonnay 2018

Burgundy, FranceFrom a very stony, east-facing slope in the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune, these Chardonnay vines are 28 years of age. After a stainless ferment, this rested in older barrels with bâtonnage for 10 months. The lees is evident, bedding the medium body and basing the lemon, cream, subtle apple blossom atop. There's an ample stoniness throughout, reflective of the bony, calcareous soils. Holds freshness well, considering the hot 2018 vintage. Drinking smartly now, and with some time ahead.Tasted: 21 September 2021Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
