Gérard Bertrand An 462 2018

Languedoc, Sud de France, FranceGérard Bertrand is a superior marketer, as evidenced by the price and quality of 462. The number, by the way, marks the year the Visigoths began their prosperous reign in Languedoc. The palace remnants are honoured by the Bertrand emblem, with the dove cross, a symbol of sharing and brotherhood, on every label. The syrah grenache blend is harvested manually and separately for optimum maturity. Post ferment, a portion of the wine is matured in 225-litre Bordeaux barrels for about ten months. Expect a spicy cedar nose with velvety smooth red and black fruit and finely textured tannins. Perfect for fall/winter menus. Hard to ask for more given the price.Tasted: 06 September 2021Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
