Peak Cellars Terraces Dry Riesling 2020

Lake Country, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe first dry riesling is made with estate grapes grown on low-lying heavier clay soils that Peak Cellars calls Block 20. The clone is 21, and folks, this one is dry. The fermentation was long and cool at 36 days in stainless steel, and the wine remained on fine lees in the tank until bottling. Green apples and citrus rule the day with some lactic notes and piercingly sharp acidity, somewhat tempered by the creamy lees notes in the finish. Best with fatty foods to help soften the blow.Tasted: 15 June 2021Tasted by: Prices:
