Lake Country, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaBlock 11 is an off-dry riesling made from the Mosel riesling clone 21B. The fermentation was split 50/50 using two different yeasts. In 2020 it was halted with 28 grams per litre of sugar that appears to perfectly balance off the easy to attain acidity given in Lake Country. The nose is highly aromatic with ripe melon, tangerine, and pear that all spill onto a fresh, creamy, juicy palate. The sugar is front and centre but is easily subdued by the freshly squeezed lime acidity in the finish. Ready to drink, modestly priced and best of all, at 10.8 percent alcohol. Peak Cellars Block 11 Riesling 2020

Lake Country, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaBlock 11 Riesling is entirely 21B, fermented in two parts with two different yeasts. The ferments were stopped with approximately 13% sugar remaining, at 28 g/L, to balance off the acidity and leave this off-dry. Perfumed melon, tropical orange, ripe pear rule the juicy, creamy palate, certainly with a good deal of sugar but with an equally matched lime peel / pith acidity to counter. Peak Cellars Block 11 Riesling 2020

Lake Country, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis is all clone 21B from Block 11, split between two different yeast strains. It's off-dry and more approachable than its Dry sibling, but with great balance. Even with 28 g/L residual sugar, the racy acidity lends this a just off-dry finish that is crisp and refreshing. It's gently floral with lemon and fresh orchard fruit, showing a notch more ripeness than the Dry Riesling.
