Peak Cellars Block 11 Riesling 2020

Lake Country, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaBlock 11 is an off-dry riesling made from the Mosel riesling clone 21B. The fermentation was split 50/50 using two different yeasts. In 2020 it was halted with 28 grams per litre of sugar that appears to perfectly balance off the easy to attain acidity given in Lake Country. The nose is highly aromatic with ripe melon, tangerine, and pear that all spill onto a fresh, creamy, juicy palate. The sugar is front and centre but is easily subdued by the freshly squeezed lime acidity in the finish. Ready to drink, modestly priced and best of all, at 10.8 percent alcohol. Serve with spicy bites or rich, salty foods.Tasted: 15 June 2021Tasted by: Prices:
