Orofino Home Vineyard Wild Ferment Old Vines Riesling 2019
Cawston, Similkameen Valley, British Columbia, CanadaTheir home vineyard, clone 21B riesling is now 30 years old, rooted in the estate's rich sandy loam soils over gravels. This was native fermented long and slow in older French oak barrels until it was bottled without fining. It then sat in bottle for one year prior to release. Just off-dry, this is taut with lime pith, green apple, yellow apple, pear skin across a stony, textural base.
