Tinhof Leithaberg Weissburgunder 2018

Leithaberg, Burgenland, Weinland Österreich, AustriaErwin Tinhof is the 11th generation making wine in the sub-region of Leithaberg, Burgenland, located in Austria’s south-east corner close to the border with Hungary. Organically certified for a number of years, Erwin works with local grapes, like Weissburgunder (pinot blanc). This is rooted in Leighaberg's shallow shell-scattered limestone soils. After a native ferment, this rested in large foudre before bottling. Salinity runs throughout this sleek, subtly creamy white, lighting white blossoms, river stones, and fresh lemon. The finish lingers with that crystalline chalkiness from the profound soils. No blah pinot blanc here.Tasted: 24 July 2021Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
