Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaFrom Wild Horse Estate Vineyard in Kaleden and Naramata's King Vineyard, this merlot finished ferment in French oak barrels, where it remained for 16 months. Soft and plush, with cassis, plum, camp smoke, and toasted wood up front, and a bitter black cherry twist on the finish, this is framed by gritty tannins that end with a puff of heat.
