Nostalgia Meritage 2018
Canada2018 Nostalgia Meritage is a 51/21/14/11/3 mix of merlot, cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, malbec, and petit verdot. A south Okanagan red blend is taken for granted these days, nearly three decades after the first red grapes went into the ground to a very skeptical audience. However, Nostalgia is a reboot of the old Oliver Twist property just southeast of downtown Oliver and this Meritage is a pleasant surprise. Look for soft, rich black fruit with tarry, smoky tobacco notes and dry tannins.
