Moon Curser Roussanne Marsanne 2020

Osoyoos, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaExpect the unexpected from Moon Curser. The classic Rhone blend made its return to Moon Curser in 2019 and continues in 2020 with a fresher 58/42 mix of roussanne/marsanne sourced from the home vineyard on the Osoyoos East Bench. It is whole cluster pressed and cofermented in mostly stainless steel with a small amount that spends four months in oak with regular lees stirring, before resting in 27% new French oak for four months, while the rest remains in stainless. The result is a silky, ripe, orange-kissed white wine with honey, caramel, and vanilla. Hedonistic is my take, and a broad spectrum of consumers will welcome that. The winery suggests ageing this wine to let all the secondary notes build into a super rich white wine. I like it right now for its freshness. It is your choice.Tasted: 12 July 2021Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
