L'Orme de Rauzan Gassies 2016

Haut-Médoc, Médoc, Bordeaux, FranceProduced by Château Rauzan-Gassie since 2012, this Haut-Médoc label is made in quite a ripe, extracted style, showing lifted dense, dark fruit accented by sweet spices after aging 12 months in French barriques. Medium-full bodied and broadly textured, this merlot-dominant blend is still youthful with dense, firm tannins that dry out the finish. This is going to need a few years for the tannins to come into balance, but they'll likely always outpace the fruit. If you're opening it today, give it some time in the decanter and pair with a hearty protein.Tasted: 10 July 2021Tasted by: Geoffrey Moss MWPrices:
