Lock and Worth Sémillon Losthorn Vineyard 2019

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaFrom Okanagan Falls' Losthorn Vineyard, this sémillon was planted in 1995, and aged in neutral French oak and bottled unfined and unfiltered in January 2020. Herbal and wooly, as youthful sém can be, this has already started putting on some adolescent weight, with a honeyed sheen adding to the gentle generosity on the medium bodied palate. Meadow grasses, flake salts, elderflower, lemon thistle stream the long length of this wine, bedded with thick downy lees, and finishing with a lingering salinity and bitter lemon twist. Serious and savoury now, and will continue on that path for the years to come.Tasted: 13 July 2021Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
