Kühling-Gillot Spätburgunder 2018

Rheinhessen, GermanyKühling-Gillot is located in Bodenheim, Rheinhessen, and the Kühling family has been farming and making wine for more than 200 years. Until Roland Gillot married into the family in 1970, it was always run by women. Since 2006, the winery has been run by Carolin Spanier-Gillot and her husband H.O. Spanier. Their 23 hectares of vines have been cultivated biodynamically since 2005. Bright with cherries, raspberries, plums, this light / medium-bodied pinot is seasoned with light peppercorns and lofted with an easy limestone/loess loftiness. Tannins are fine and black-tea etched, providing a lovely firm framework for this elegant wine. Drinking well now, especially with wild mushroom and/or duck dishes.Tasted: 20 July 2021Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
