Marlborough, South Island, New ZealandFrom Churton's organic and biodynamically farmed hillside vineyard above the Waihopai Valley, this was whole bunch pressed and native fermented long and slow in a mix of stainless and barrel, with each plot vinified separately and held on lees for 9 months prior to racking and bottling. Big and intense with potent gooseberry, lemongrass, tangerine, lime on a punchy, bright palate. The wood gives a nice creaminess to the palate, while the altitude and attention give is a shining freshness.
