Baillie-Grohman Terraces Pinot Noir 2019

Creston, British Columbia, CanadaFrom their Creston estate, this is from a single vineyard at 650m. Destemmed fruit was cold soaked for 3 days before heading into ferment, with 30 days on kins. MLF finished in French barriques (20% new), where the wine rested for on year prior to bottling. Tight and bright cherry and raspberry opens, leading to downy plum and tart blackberry on the medium bodied palate. Tannins are soft and lightly sticky through to a warming baking spice finish. Lovely freshness from altitude and latitude throughout. Quite smart, this bright pinot noir is drinking very well now.Tasted: 29 July 2021Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
