Bachelder L'Ardoise Niagara Chardonnay 2019

Niagara Peninsula, Ontario, CanadaThomas Bachelder is one of Canada's leading chardonnay and pinot noir specialists, honed through time in Bourgogne and Oregon, as well as years in the vineyards of his Niagara home base. L’Ardoise, translating to blackboard in French, blends older vine chardonnay from across the Niagara Peninsula, with the majority coming from Beamsville Bench and Vineland. These small lot vineyard wines were fermented and aged for at least 16 months in mostly neutral French barrels prior (sans bâtonnage) prior to bottling. Creamy and open, with lemon curd, yellow apple, fragrant pear blossom on a bed of fine lees, this is a welcome, open, smart chardy ready for drinking now.Tasted: 18 July 2021Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
