Pfalz, GermanySince 1996, Ernst Loosen oversees the wines at Villa Wolf Winery, originally founded in 1756 in the Pfalz. This Weissburgunder (pinot blanc) was done entirely in stainless, with no MLF or botrytized fruit. Ripe red and yellow apples, pear, rule the slender palate, with a thread of earthy hay, finishing off-dry on a shorter palate.
