Rex Hill Pinot Noir 2017

Willamette Valley, Oregon, United StatesThis comes off 10 different biodynaically-farmed Willamette Valley vineyards, and was fermented in stainless before aging 10 months in French oak. There is approximately 70% estate fruit in this cuvée, and is based on Laurelwood loess soils over volcanic bedrock. Some toasted cedar leads this fuller wine, quickly swallowed by ripe cherry, black raspberry, forest floor / moss on a cushy palate. Tannins are firm and striated, holding this pinot structured and upright. Nice freshness.Tasted: 02 June 2021Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
