Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe blend, merlot 40%, cabernet franc 30%, syrah 15%, malbec 10%, cabernet sauvignon 5%, mixes savoury dried herbs and juicy round red fruit. The style is soft with a pH of 3.6 and residual sugar at 5 grams per litre, although round and ripe is a big deterrent for most rosé drinkers. It’s aged in foudres which explains the creamy, soft textures that might benefit from more acidity next time.
