Similkameen Valley, British Columbia, CanadaKeremeos is home to this older vine single vineyard syrah that sits above the valley floor on a windy, rocky site. It is natively fermented in open top fermenters and hand punched twice daily before spending 16 months in older French barrels. Wild and super-Similkameen, it opens with a spicy, meaty nose, firm, dense tannins, and plenty of minerals and black pepper. It’s all you could want in a big, mouth-filling syrah but with some volatility showing in the finish. Best with grilled meats.
