Left Coast Estate Cali's Cuvee Pinot Noir 2017

Willamette Valley, Oregon, United StatesFrom Rickerall, in the breezy Van Duzer Corridor, this pinot noir is rooted in marine sedimentary soils, and a mix of Pommard, Wadenswil, 115, 667, 777 clones. After a stainless ferment, this spent 8 months in French oak (15% new). Bright and fragrant with raspberry, cherries, red currants, and moss on a medium-bodied palate. Tannins are long and fine, holding this slender red through the amply spiced finish. Left Coast Estate was one of the first producers in Van Duzer Corridor, and instrumental in its move to official appellation status in 2019. Of their 500 acres of land, they have 125 acres planted, almost entirely to pinot noir.Tasted: 02 June 2021Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
