Leaning Post The Fifty Chardonnay 2019
Niagara Peninsula, Ontario, CanadaThis chardonnay was sourced from three vineyards: Il Vigneto, on Lincoln Lakeshore; Wismer - Foxcroft, on Twenty Mile Bench; and Senchuk Vineyard in Lincoln Lakeshore. The majority of this was fermented in concrete tanks, with the remainder in 228L barrique, a 500L puncheon, and stainless. Post-ferment, all the wine was aged on full lees in concrete and stainless for 9 months prior to bottling. Green apple, lemon, melon, almond blossom fills a cushioned palate, finishing with a sprinkling of spices and a subtle stony shimmer.
