Tightrope Winery Rosé 2020
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaDeeply-hued, this year's rosé blends pinot noir, syrah, and barbera: strange bedfellows indeed. The grapes were crushed and left with skins for a couple of days prior to pressing, hence the deeper and day-glo tone of fuchsia. Candied raspberries, candied rhubarb rule the glycerol-slicked palate, lightly spiced, and finishing with an orange twang. Quite bold and fruit-forward, think of this as kool-aid for grown-ups.
