Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaOrganic cabernet franc grapes from Kaleden's Esther Vineyard and its silty glacial rock are the source for this wine, fermented in a 10,000L foudre. Post-ferment, it was racked into oak barrels for a 25 month rest (mix of new and neutral wood). Soft and plush, with evident and potent cedar wood seasoning the heady cassis, black cherry, pencil shavings. There's a smouldering camp smoke note throughout to the finish, all wrapped with soft, plush tannins. Needs an equally camp-smoked meet or veg dish to tame.Tasted: 25 May 2021Tasted by: Prices:
