Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio Valdadige 2020

Valdadige, Pedemonte Valpolicella, Verona, Veneto, ItalyYes, Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio is the greatest selling grigio on the planet, and yes, they sell countless millions of bottles, and yes, as such, it has a reputation of being a little bit basic. That's why it's the number one selling grigio on the planet. From 150 - 300m in the Valle dell'Adige, this was cool-fermented in stainless, where it remained for a short time before bottling. 2020 is still fresh and bright with lemon, green apple, subtle almond blossoms on a shorter palate, smoothed out with a layer of lees. Simple and light, as needed. No idea why this isn't under screwcap, but I hope that's the next move in itsevolution.Tasted: 27 May 2021Tasted by: Prices:
