Vinho Verde, Northern Portugal, PortugalPart of the mighty Sogrape empire, this alvarinho is forward and direct with heady peach, yellow apple, orange blossom on a slick, medium bodied palate, infiltrated with a subtle, raspy, granitic grip to the stony finish. Some time on skins prior to a cool ferment ups the texture in this white, as does the 5 months on lees in stainless, post ferment.
