Liquidity Pinot Gris 2020
Okanagan Falls, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe fruit for this pinot gris was sourced from Liquidity's Allendale and Lusitano vineyards, as well as the Black Sage Bench. Each lot was fermented separately at a range of temperatures, predominantly in stainless steel, with 20 percent fermented in neutral French barriques with daily bâtonnage. The wine hints at some cool fermentation temperatures, with honeyed peach and pear fruit at the foreground atop pillowy lees. There's surprising weight and breadth to the palate, with an impression of being just off-dry even at three grams per litre residual sugar.
