J. M. Sohler Crémant d'Alsace Brut Rosé 2018
Alsace, FranceSituated 30 km southwest of Strasbourg, J.M. Sohler is a boutique estate family producer nestled in the hamlet of Blienschwiller. This rosé comes entirely from Pinot Noir, and was gently whole bunch pressed before resting on lees until the following spring, when it heads to the bottle and a minimum 24 months rest on lees. This was disgorged to order. Pouring a shining gold peach hue, this is scented with wild raspberries, tangerine pith, white cherries, light toast, on a brisk, astringent palate, finishing with a lick of cherry and fine rasp of spices.
