Isole e Olena Collezione Privata Cabernet Sauvignon 2015
Tuscany, ItalyFrom the crumby galestro soils of Isole e Olena estate's 49 hectares of vineyard that face southwest. They are situated on the Western border of the Chianti Classico zone, approximately 350-400 meters above sea level. This spent 24 months in 80/20 French / American oak (40% new) oak and another 2 years on the bottle before release. Ripe, polished black cherry, herbal black raspberry fills the fuller, dusty frame, striated by grippy/gritty tannins and seasoned with baking spices and some older toasted wood. The finish is somewhat drying at this point and best taken with roast pork.
