Harrow & Hope Brut Reserve No5 NV
EnglandHarrow & Hope is a newer English sparkling winery based in Marlow, in the Flint laden Chiltern Hills, and run by Henry and Kaye Laithwaite (of the famous English merchant family). This smart, sharp wine, their 5th release blends 40% pinot noir, 40% chardonnay, and 20% pinot meunier, with 20% barrel aged reserve wine (a split between 2014 and 2015), and with 36 months on the lees. It was dosed with 9 g/L upon disgorgement. Such a lovely wine, bright and crisp, with tight green and red apple across a chalky base, this drinks beautifully now, and with obvious time ahead.
