Gold Hill Cabernet Franc Rosé 2020
Golden Mile Bench, Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Gill Family had been selling their Golden Mile fruit for 30 years before deciding to make their own label, in 2009. Val Tait, Winemaker/Viticulturist extraordinaire, joined the winery recently, and this is one of her first releases. The deep peach hue comes from 18 hours' skin contact, while stainless ferment and aging work to preserve bright fruit from the Southern Okanagan sunshine. The result is a creamy, fuller-bodied rosé with creamy baked peach, ripe strawberry on a creamy palate, seasoned with baking spices, and bumped with RS to make it extra friendly.
