Corcelettes Talus 2018

Similkameen Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Similkameen Valley is enclosed by steep mountain walls accentuated by steep Talus slopes, the slopes responsible for the winery’s mixed earth and broken stone soils. The blend is a complex mix of 38/31/15/12/4 merlot / cabernet franc / cabernet sauvignon / petit verdot / malbec, and upon tasting this twice over the summer, I can say this is something special. It spends 18 months ageing in various tight grain, premium French oak barrels. The wine is deliciously ripe, showing pipe tobacco notes and ripe blueberries streaked with a touch of tea and all embellished by that savoury desert perfume that penetrates the wine. So highly polished, this is a rare one you can cellar for a decade, or you can enjoy it now.Tasted: 21 May 2021Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
