Black Stallion Limited Release Pinot Noir 2018

Napa Valley, California, United StatesA surprisingly fresh and bright pinot that tips the scales at 14.5 percent alcohol. The nose is varietal Carneros with that black cherry nose and cool, earthy undertones and a touch of upfront violets. The palate is equally fresh with black cherry, raspberry fruit and perfect spicing — a friendly, juicy, ready-to-drink style with soft textures. Los Carneros is one of Napa Valley’s coolest growing regions and the perfect home with morning fog and afternoon winds coming off the cool San Pablo Bay. The wines were allowed to mature in 42 percent new French oak for nine months before bottling. Black Stallion is located in the Stags Leap area of Napa valley on an old equestrian site. The Indelicato family, owners of the Delicato wine empire, own Black Stallion Estate.Tasted: 27 May 2021Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
