Modest Wines The Eye of the Partridge Pinot Noir Rosé 2020

Similkameen Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThey do have a sense of humour at Mt. Boucherie, even if it is all in modesty. The Oeil de Perdrix is an old French expression used to describe pale pink rosé champagnes. It seemed appropriate to the Mt Boucherie folks to give this South Cawston (which is almost as glamourous as Champagne) pink the same name because it too is technically dry and made from pinot noir. In fact, this rosé has a very ripe nose, and a fair bit of perceived sweetness on the palate, which I'm sure will be well received in most camps. Modest Butcher chef Dan Carkner uses this to wash down charcuterie and all his woes, making it extremely versatile stuff. Give it a go; you won’t be disappointed.Tasted: 30 April 2021Tasted by: Prices:
