Argiano Rosso di Montalcino 2019

Montalcino, Siena, Tuscany, ItalyFrom another hot, dry year in Tuscany, saved by late rains, 2019 Argiano Rosso is 100 percent sangiovese with an average vine age of 13 - 23 years. Smaller bunches and lower yields mark the vintage, but at Argiano, the Rosso selection is all about freshness and fruit. The attack is lively with intense floral, cherry, earthy, mineral scents that spill onto the palate, joining cherries and cedar. It sees a mix of French oak in all sizes but only for a few months. A serious but softer look at the sangiovese grape you can drink or hold at your will. Food-friendly, you can serve it with a charcuterie plate or a pasta ragĂș.Tasted: 16 April 2021Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
