Pentâge Winery Roussanne Marsanne Viognier 2015

Skaha Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis year's Rhone inspired white blends 70% roussanne with 30% marsanne from their Skaha Bench estate. Each variety was fermented separately in stainless, with 40% transferred to French barrique and puncheon (2nd and 3rd use) for MLF and aging, with weekly bâtonnage. Honeysuckle, lime blossom, ripe golden apple and pear fill the fuller palate, gently expansive and subtly spicy on the plump palate, finishing with a flush of warmth. There's a lovely inherent freshness to counter the inherent richness of the grapes, which works beautifully with this site and wine. Showing the honeyed cusping of age, this is drinking very well now.Tasted: 04 March 2021Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
