Majella Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon 2017

Coonawarra, South Australia, AustraliaMajella Coonawarra Cab is a classic, approachable red, meant for cracking into now, but can certainly rest a couple of years in your cellar. After starting ferment in static and rotary stainless fermenters, the ferment completed in 300L barrels, prior to an additional 18 months aging in new and second use French oak hogsheads. Each parcel is kept separate prior to blending. Coonawarra's characteristic menthol / mint is in the fore, imprinting on ripe dark cherry, fleshy raspberry, and cedar spicing through the lingering finish. Tannins are in check, enveloped by the fruit, and guide this to a spicy eucalyptus finish. Take with rich beef braises, or with beet / root vegetable stews.
