La Braccesca Santa Pia Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva 2017

Tuscany, ItalySanta Pia is produced from a 15 hectare vineyard of the same name, located on the ridges just below the town of Montepulciano. This soil is sandy loam with rocky deposits known as scheletro that contributes to a more classic sangiovese style, offering elegance and depth. There is a fragrance here, signalling an elegant version of Vino Nobile, and a juicy, fresh sangiovese full of savoury, perfectly ripe red cherry lined with the perfect level of spicing through the finish. A wonderful red you can drink now or cellar for seven to ten years. There is a dusting of fine tannins that would disappear at the dinner table. Long, classy, and persistent, this is a winner.Tasted: 19 March 2021Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
