Champ Divin Chardonnay 2018

Jura, FranceChamp Divin is a 6 hectare Jura estate run by husband and wife team Fabrice and Valerie Closset, who spent years in South Africa and the Loire to help wineries develop sustainable winegrowing practices. They have converted their Gevingey estate, in South-Revermont, to certified organic, and they utilize biodynamics in their farming. This comes from clay/limestone soils, was natively fermented, and spent a short stint in older wood before heading to the bottle without fining or filtration and minimal sulphur. Dense chalk lines the base of this wine, drawing a yellow apple, crunchy pear, perfumed white blossom along a creamy palate, livened with lemon zest acidity—a gentle, pure, and alluring view of chardy from this prized plateau of Jura.Tasted: 15 March 2021Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
