San Felice Chianti Classico Riserva Il Grigio 2017

Tuscany, ItalyThis Riserva is from the top plots of the estate, and entirely sangiovese, planted on albarese, galestro, and macigno del chianti at 300-400m. 80% of this was matured for two years in 60-90hL Slavonian oak casks, with the remainder in 225L French barriques. Old school in style, with kisses of Brettanomyces, this opens softer, with some prune, black cherry, framed with spiced old wood, and gripped with ample, ragged, firm tannins through the dusty, bitter finish.Tasted: 16 February 2021Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
