Alamos Selección Malbec 2017

Mendoza, ArgentinaA vibrant fuschia colour, this opens with a sweet smelling malbec nose brimming with candied violets, dried blueberries, and chai latte. Compact and complete with tasty berry compote, a grinding of black pepper, and creamy oak balanced by botanical freshness and brisk acidity. Tannins are medium firm, but very ripe and sweet, and the respectible finish gets nice and dusty. High sites in the La Consulta sector of the Uco Valley account for the expressive, streamlined fruit in Alamos' Seleccion. It's a lot of wine for the price and pairing possibilities include roast chicken, lamb shoulder, or pastitsio.Tasted: 27 February 2021Tasted by: Prices:
