Côtes du Rhône, Rhone Valley, FranceThis organically farmed Côtes du Rhone blends 80% grenache with 10% each of syrah and carignan, all grown on clay-limestone soils, and aged in concrete vat for 9 months prior to bottling unfined. Peppery and bright, with dusky plum, wild cherry, thorns on a plump, juicy, high-toned palate. Acidity is fresh, and tannins are appropriately grippy, structuring this ideally for pairing with sausages.
