Douro Valley, Northern Portugal, PortugalThe Historic Limited Edition bottle shape was inspired by the chestnut shaped wine bottles manufactured in England circa 1715 to 1740. This limited edition blend was specially selected from the extensive aged Tawny stocks of Taylor Fladgate, resting in seasoned oak Port pipes. The style is rich and mellow but with a touch of underlying grip and, well, Taylor Fladgate styling to give it substance. There is a riff of red colour throughout its warm caramel, spiced palate that stays with you long after it has been swallowed. Plums, raisins, butterscotch, and marzipan notes fill out the finish.
